1. About NEXINTECHPAY

Purpose, audiences and the difference between a directory and an active service.

One ecosystem, several kinds of service

NEXINTECHPAY brings wallet records, payment-request workflows, account security, development resources and digital business discovery into one compact application. Individuals can review their wallet and requests. Developers can discover payment, messaging, database, hosting and AI resources. Businesses can find payment collection information and submit a Paybill or Till application.

The directory also covers learning, independent income opportunities, financial-market education, marketing websites, jobs, community topics and subscriptions. A listing describes a subject or provider; its presence does not mean NEXINTECHPAY operates that provider, has provisioned an account, or has activated the listed service.

Understand current availability

Connected account, wallet-record, request, notification, catalogue, utility and administrative screens use real account data rather than demo activity. Resources appear only when an administrator publishes them. An empty list means there is no published material, not that a payment or account was created.

M-Pesa deposits are live through STK Push (a PIN prompt on your phone). Automatic M-Pesa withdrawals (B2C payouts) are not connected yet; withdrawals are reviewed by the team. Full merchant order/customer workflows, support tickets, community posting, academy progress/certificates and subscription charging are not implemented end to end. Do not treat an informational page as a completed action. This documentation states those boundaries rather than promising unsupported services.

NEXINTECHPAY is not a bank. A submitted request, shared link or successful administrator review is not confirmation that money moved. Rely on the completed status, verified provider receipt and corresponding transaction records.

2. Accounts and getting started

Registration, sign-in, onboarding and recovery.

Create your account

Use Create Account on the welcome page and provide your own email address and a strong password. Email and password are the app’s sign-in methods; Google and GitHub sign-in are not offered. The intended setup uses automatic email confirmation; if the sign-in page requests confirmation, the hosted email setting has not yet been enabled. Do not repeatedly register the same address.

Only your own profile answers are saved. Selecting Business does not grant administrator permissions, complete business verification or activate payment collection.

  1. Choose Create Account, enter your details and submit once.
  2. Choose the account type that describes how you plan to use the app.
  3. Complete your name, country and requested profile details.
  4. Optionally set up an authenticator, then continue to All Set and Home.

Return to your account

Select Sign In with your existing email and password. If an authenticator factor is verified, complete the additional sign-in challenge before entering the dashboard. Never share your password, email reset link, payment PIN or authenticator code.

Use Forgot Password for a reset email, open its link on a trusted device and choose a new password. Delivery depends on the hosted email configuration; check spam folders and use the most recent link. Signing out does not delete your profile, wallet or history.

4. Wallet balances and KES/USD

Actual wallet currency, pending funds, reservations and visibility.

Read your balances correctly

Available is your ledger balance that is not reserved. Reserved is held against withdrawal requests and is not available for another withdrawal. Pending deposits are unpaid or unconfirmed requests and are not credited. Withdrawable is the balance eligible under the wallet status; fees, minimums, maximums and service activation still apply.

Total funds held combines available and reserved; it excludes pending deposits. A frozen or closed wallet cannot be treated as an active wallet. The account reference identifies your wallet inside NEXINTECHPAY. Hide balances masks displayed amounts, but does not change money, access permissions or transaction records.

Use the currency selector

The selector offers KES and USD on Home and Wallet. Your wallet is held in KES. Selecting USD shows the equivalent at the platform rate of 130 KES per USD; for example, KSh 130.00 displays as USD 1.00 and a zero balance displays as USD 0.00.

Changing the display does not convert, exchange or move money. Deposits, withdrawals, transaction records and statements remain in KES.

Missing or failed data

A dash or a loading indicator is not the same as a zero balance. If wallet loading fails, retry and check your connection. Do not attempt repeated financial submissions to fix a display error. Actual successful transactions should have an identifiable reference and state in history.

5. Add money with M-Pesa

Sending the M-Pesa PIN prompt, fees, waiting for confirmation and deposit states.

How to add money

Add Money sends a real M-Pesa STK Push prompt to the Safaricom number you enter. You approve the payment on your own phone with your M-Pesa PIN. NEXINTECHPAY never asks for your PIN on screen, by SMS or by phone.

M-Pesa only charges whole shillings, so enter whole amounts such as 100 or 1,500. The deposit fee is shown before you send the prompt (currently 1%, rounded up to the next whole shilling — for example KSh 150 has a KSh 2 fee and a KSh 152 total). The minimum and maximum per deposit are shown above the amount box.

  1. Open Wallet → Add Money (or the + Add Money button on Home).
  2. Choose or type your Safaricom number (07XX, 01XX or 2547XX format).
  3. Enter a whole-shilling amount and check the fee and total.
  4. Tap Send M-Pesa prompt. A PIN request appears on your phone within a few seconds.
  5. Enter your PIN on the phone. Keep the app open: it checks M-Pesa every few seconds for up to 90 seconds.
  6. When M-Pesa confirms, your wallet is credited automatically and you receive a notification and a transaction record with the M-Pesa receipt.

If the prompt does not arrive or the page stops waiting

Check that the number is correct, your phone is on and has signal, and that your M-Pesa account can pay the total. If you dismiss the prompt, the deposit is marked Cancelled and nothing is charged. Wrong PIN, insufficient balance or timeout marks it Failed.

If you paid but the page stopped waiting, do not pay again. Open Add Money and press Check beside the deposit in Your deposits — the app asks M-Pesa for the latest result and credits the wallet if payment is confirmed. A deposit with no confirmation is marked Expired about 15 minutes after it was created.

Deposit states

Initiated — the request was created and the prompt is being sent. Awaiting payment — the prompt was sent; waiting for your PIN. Successful — M-Pesa confirmed and your wallet was credited. Cancelled — you dismissed the prompt. Failed — M-Pesa rejected the payment or the prompt could not be sent. Expired — no confirmation arrived in time. Under review — M-Pesa reported a payment whose amount or receipt did not match, so an administrator checks it before any credit.

Only Successful deposits change your available balance. Pending amounts are shown separately on Home and are never spendable.

6. Withdrawal requests and review

Eligibility, reservations, cancellation, review and payout.

Submit a request when enabled

Withdrawals require an active wallet, adequate withdrawable funds, valid M-Pesa details and the current limits. Review amount, fee and expected payout before confirming. Financial access may require a verified authenticator challenge.

The workflow reserves the requested funds to prevent spending them twice. An administrator can request information, approve or reject. Higher-value requests may require two approvals according to the configured threshold. Approval is not proof of payout; M-Pesa B2C submission and result confirmation still need activation.

  1. Open Withdraw and check the service notice and available funds.
  2. Enter the amount and choose or enter your own receiving number.
  3. Review the fee and net payout, then submit only if withdrawals are enabled.
  4. Follow the request status in Withdraw and Transactions. Cancel only when the page offers that action.

Follow the outcome

Submitted and Under review are review states. Approved and Queued for payout are not completed transfers. Processing means a provider outcome is outstanding. Completed requires confirmed payout. Rejected or eligible cancellation releases reserved funds through the recorded workflow.

Do not tell a recipient that payment was made until its final status and receipt confirm it. Report the request reference, amount, date and visible status if an outcome is unclear. Never include your PIN, password or authenticator code.

7. Payment requests and links

Creating, sharing and getting paid by M-Pesa; expiry and cancellation.

Create and share a request

Request Payment records the amount and purpose you want another person to pay. You can optionally specify a payer phone and an expiry. The generated public link identifies that request; copying or sharing it does not credit your wallet.

Payment Links and Payment Requests are the same thing. Your customer opens the link without signing in, enters their M-Pesa number and taps Pay — an M-Pesa PIN prompt appears on their phone. When M-Pesa confirms, the full amount is added to your wallet (no fee on collections), the request shows Paid and you get a Payment received notification. Amounts must be whole shillings.

  1. Open Request Payment and enter a valid amount and a clear description.
  2. Set optional payer details and expiry, then create the request.
  3. Use the share or copy action and send the link to the intended payer.
  4. Your customer pays with an M-Pesa PIN prompt from the link; the request turns Paid and your wallet is credited.
  5. Track its status and cancel an open request if it is no longer needed.

Expiry, privacy and payment status

An unpaid request past its expiry is displayed as expired. Paid is not inferred from opening the link, copying it or manually telling the app that money was sent. Do not share sensitive personal information in the description.

Send Money, bank transfers, bill payments and scheduled payments are not active payment services simply because they appear in the directory. There is no safe substitute for integrating the relevant provider and validating outcomes.

8. Transactions, statements, limits and fees

History, receipts, exports and current financial settings.

Review history

Transactions shows records belonging to your account. Select a record to see its reference, kind, amount, fee, status and provider details where available. Status explains whether an item is pending, failed, reversed or completed. An empty history means no matching records; it is not sample activity.

Receipts and statements are app-generated records, not bank-issued documents or guarantees of external settlement. Keep the original provider receipt for payments and reconcile differences before relying on a report.

Generate a statement

Open Account Statements, choose the date range and load the statement. Check the opening balance, recorded activity and closing balance, then download the available PDF. A date range with no activity can legitimately produce an empty statement.

Limits & Fees reads the current backend settings. Check deposit/withdrawal minimums and maximums, fee rates, service activation and approval rules there. Calculators that accept a manually entered percentage are estimates, not the authoritative service fee. Fees are calculated in minor units to avoid floating-point money errors.

9. Profile and saved payment details

Personal information, photos, email and saved M-Pesa numbers.

Manage your own details

My Profile summarizes your account. Personal Information lets you save your name, username, phone, country, preferred currency and optional address. Usernames must be unique and use the allowed format. Profile photos must be an image under 2 MB.

Preferred currency does not change a wallet’s currency. Updating personal details does not verify identity or create administrator access. Account Verification displays your current status; no automated identity-document verification provider is connected.

  1. Open Profile, then Personal Information.
  2. Change only the fields you want to update and select Save details.
  3. For a photo, choose an appropriate image and wait for the update confirmation.
  4. For an email change, use the separate Change email action and follow the confirmation messages.

Saved phone numbers

Saved M-Pesa Numbers stores a label and number for your own account. Choose a default withdrawal number if desired. Verify every digit before submitting a withdrawal; saving a number does not prove ownership, complete a transfer or bypass eligibility checks.

Email-change confirmation is separate from new-account automatic confirmation. Sensitive email changes can require confirmation from the old and new inboxes. Do not discard access to the old mailbox until the change completes.

10. Passwords, authenticator and sessions

Real two-factor enrollment and safe account practices.

Set up an authenticator

Two-factor authentication uses a real time-based authenticator factor, not a local on/off preference. Enrollment is not complete until the challenge code is verified. Keep access to your authenticator and recovery email; never send the setup secret or QR image to anyone.

A verified factor adds a sign-in challenge. Some financial access requires the higher assurance session obtained by completing a challenge. Removing a factor changes account protection and should only be done from a trusted device.

  1. Open Login Security or Two-Factor Authentication.
  2. Start enrollment and scan the provided QR code in your authenticator app, or use its setup key privately.
  3. Enter the current code and verify enrollment.
  4. On later sign-ins, complete the authenticator challenge. Keep the device clock correct if codes fail.

Passwords and sessions

Choose a unique password and change it through Login Security. Recovery uses your account email. The session control can sign out other sessions; it is not a complete device inventory or a guarantee that a stolen password is harmless.

Do not paste credentials into documentation, resource reviews, support messages, examples or generated QR codes. Administrator permissions are checked against protected account roles, never your profile name or browser storage.

11. Developer Centre and resource pages

APIs, requirements, sandbox guidance, links and notices.

Read a resource before using it

Developer Centre groups infrastructure, payment providers and AI topics. A published resource can explain what it does, who it is for, the problem it solves, how it works, use cases, advantages and limitations. Requirements can cover credentials, country support, technical prerequisites and pricing.

Integration sections can include authentication, callbacks, error handling, testing and security. Administrators may add guides and code examples. Review any example before running it; never place private API secrets in browser code.

  1. Open Developer Centre or search a topic in the feature directory.
  2. Read the Overview and How it works sections.
  3. Check requirements, country support, pricing and sandbox availability.
  4. Read integration guidance and notices, then inspect the published external URL before opening it.
  5. Create accounts and credentials with the actual provider where required; test in its sandbox before real-money use.

External links and verification

Access links open the administrator-published destination in a separate tab. NEXINTECHPAY cannot sign you into a third-party account, issue its credentials or guarantee its availability. Administrator reviewed is a content-review label, not regulatory approval or an endorsement.

Sponsored and NEXINTECHPAY-owned listings are labelled. Independent opportunities do not guarantee work or earnings. Trading education and demo access do not guarantee profits; real-money trading can cause substantial losses.

No resources are currently published in the connected catalogue. Topic pages remain navigable and explain the content boundary; administrators must supply accurate resource descriptions and real URLs before provider content appears.

12. Merchants, the Merchant Dashboard and Get a Paybill

What a merchant is, what the Merchant Dashboard shows, and how Paybill/Till applications work.

What is a merchant?

A merchant is any person or business that sells goods or services and collects money from customers — a shop, a freelancer, an online store, a school or a developer selling software. On NEXINTECHPAY, any signed-in account can use merchant features: you do not need a special account to start collecting with payment links. Choosing Business during sign-up only labels your profile; it does not unlock extra permissions.

Your merchant money goes into the same KES wallet you already have. There is no separate merchant balance, so a payment collected from a customer appears in your wallet balance, transactions and statements.

Using the Merchant Dashboard

Open Home → Merchant Tools, or the hamburger menu → Business & Merchant. The dashboard shows real figures from your own account only: total collected through paid payment links, open requests still waiting for a customer, how many requests were paid, expired or cancelled, and your latest requests. It also shows your Paybill/Till application status.

Use Create payment link to request a specific amount from a customer and share the link. Use Wallet to see the money that arrived, Statements to download records, and Withdraw to move money out.

  1. Open Merchant Tools from Home.
  2. Tap Create payment link, enter the amount, a description and how long the link should stay open.
  3. Share the link with your customer (WhatsApp, SMS, email).
  4. Watch Open requests and Paid on the dashboard; paid amounts appear in your wallet.
  5. Apply for your own Paybill or Till number from Get a Paybill when you want a dedicated M-Pesa business number.

Get a Paybill or Till

Get a Paybill opens from Developer Centre and from the Merchant Dashboard. Select Paybill or Till and supply your business name and type, KRA PIN, contact phone and email, plus any notes. Submitted means the application was recorded for the NEXINTECHPAY team; it is not yet approved by Safaricom and no number has been issued. You cannot change the status yourself — the team updates it after review.

13. Utilities and learning

Browser tools, estimates and academy content.

Use the available utilities

JSON Formatter accepts JSON and formats it; invalid JSON produces an error. QR Code Generator encodes the text or URL you enter; it does not verify that a destination is safe or turn it into a paid checkout. Password Generator creates random passwords of the chosen supported length and offers copying.

Revenue Calculator multiplies an amount by a quantity. Transaction Fee Calculator and Payment Calculator estimate a percentage from the amount and rate you enter. They do not load a provider quote, deduct wallet funds or create financial transactions. Clear sensitive inputs after use on a shared device.

Advanced API request testing, webhook inspection and project/expense workflows are not connected merely by listing them. This documentation page is the platform guide; it is not an API credential console or automatic documentation-generation service.

Learning and community

Developer Academy lists learning subjects and published materials. It does not yet implement course enrollment, scored quizzes, saved learning progress or issued certificates. Begin with published guides when available and practice against provider sandboxes.

Community, jobs and income topics are discovery areas until their full posting, moderation and application workflows are implemented. External platforms have their own terms, verification and risks. NEXINTECHPAY does not employ users or guarantee earnings.

14. Premium, subscriptions and charges

Pro proposal, trials and explicit payment consent.

No automatic browsing charges

The proposed starting Pro price is KSh 100 per month, with a two-day eligible trial and proposed KSh 3 paid resource access. These are proposals, not an activated checkout, trial or subscription in the current app. Paid access must first implement eligibility, explicit confirmation, ledger charging and access records.

Opening a topic, visiting a sponsored listing, favouriting a feature or reading documentation does not charge your wallet. Never interpret a Premium label as proof of an active subscription. No paid action is enabled now.

Once billing is implemented, the confirmation must state the exact price, currency, duration, renewal/cancellation terms and effect on access. Third-party provider costs remain separate.

15. Page statuses explained — why some pages say “not yet published”

Working screens, directory topics waiting for content, coming-soon items and switched-off services.

Three kinds of pages in the menu

NEXINTECHPAY is more than a wallet: the menu holds over 340 entries covering money, merchants, developer tools, learning, income, trading, marketing, jobs and more. Entries are one of three kinds.

1) Working screens — they open a page that does something with your account: Wallet, Add Money, Withdraw, Request Money, Payment Links, Transactions, Statements, Merchant Dashboard, Get a Paybill, Profile, Security, Two-Factor, Notifications, Feature Directory and the built-in tools (JSON formatter, QR generator, password generator, calculators).

2) Directory topics — information pages that list guides, providers and links the NEXINTECHPAY team publishes. When the team has not yet added anything to a topic you see “No resources have been published for …”. This is not an error and nothing is broken: the page is ready and simply waiting for content. Check back later or use the search.

3) Coming soon or switched-off — a service that is planned but not available yet, or a premium item whose paid access is not switched on. These pages say so clearly and never charge you.

What you should do when a page is empty

Nothing on your side is needed. Empty topics never affect your money or account. Use the search at the top of the menu, View All Features, or this guide to find a working screen for what you want to do. If you believe a page should work and it shows an error (not an empty list), report it with the page name and time.

16. Troubleshooting and support

Missing pages, errors, payment concerns and safe reporting.

A page is missing or will not load

Return to View All Features and search the current name. Old merchant/security/support links are redirected to the matching current topic. Unrecognized or restricted features now offer a directory and documentation return path rather than a dead end.

If loading fails, use Try again and check your connection. If you were signed out, sign in again. Do not change your password just because a resource list is empty. Empty published-content pages require administrator content, not repeated financial actions.

Prepare a useful report

Record the page name, what you selected, the visible error, date/time and a request/transaction reference when relevant. Remove passwords, tokens, authenticator codes, private keys and sensitive personal data from screenshots.

A support ticket system and live chat are not connected. The Support page provides guidance and a link to the configured contact information. No support phone, response time or live agent is promised by this documentation. Use only the published contact details; never send money to someone claiming it is needed to unlock support.

Common questions

Why is my balance not higher after sharing a payment link? A link is a request, not a confirmed payment. Why is my withdrawal approved but not completed? Review is separate from provider payout. Why does USD differ from KES? USD is a display equivalent at 130 KES per USD; the wallet itself stays in KES.

Why is Administration missing? Your signed-in account must have the protected administrator role. Why are no courses or resources displayed? The connected catalogue currently has no published resource content. Why do codes fail? Check the authenticator factor, current code and device clock, and do not reuse a stale code.
